Attention Players!  are two illegal and unsafe websitesthat have been spotted in IGG games. A number of players have had theiraccounts compromised by clicking on links to these websites linked fromwithin the game, so we ask all players to please be aware of how tokeep your account secure.

How can I know if a website is unsafe?
1. Generally speaking, illegal websites will askyou to provide your login details in order to access information ontheir site. Remember, the only website where you should login is www.igg.com.

How can I protect my account?
1. Firstly, do not click on any unfamiliar links inthe game, or provide your account details or password on any unknownwebsites.
2. If you need to log-in to your account, please visit the official IGG website (http://www.igg.com)and then login your account on the upper left corner of the interface.Type the address manually into your browser rather than clicking onwebsite links.
3. Ask IGG official Live Chat to make sure the unfamiliar website is illegal or not.

I do believe a game really needs something like this to help players keep their accounts from being hacked

All this while players had been alerted ...never to trust the "sweet talks" from strangers and people trying to take advantage of our innocent. We just have to be careful always on the website we visit and extreme precaution especially if we do share our account, even if it's a friend(coz they too might fall into such trap).
Just be careful always...no matter what you do. And try not to login your account into a PC that is shared or used by others too...like in a cybercafe. I've learned a lesson there before this.

Agreed.
Of course the players have always been aware that they shouldnt do such things. but i noticed that many simply do not care. Thinking that if someone was going to get hacked today, it would be very unlikely to be them. And obviously this is definitely WRONG.
Its just great to have such an announcement that presents some examples of illegal sites.

GMs please be ready to stop in game spam advertisement for those websites, or ones like them. One of the many reasons to leave ToP

Also beware of players in game who may claim to be a GM .

Often they will PM you and say they are investigating --or looking at your account and ask for info --or direct you to log into a website --that ask for your PASS .

ANY PLAYER with GM in the name or a cobination of VCGM --VGM_ etc.

Is never to be trusted .
Give NO info to anyone in game .
It is NEVER true .
if a real GM or Admin has an issue --they have other ways to contact you and please remember --they have NO NEED to ask your info --if they are legit --they HAVE IT .

The bottom line is .
NOTHING is free .
If an offer is made to log in for frree items ---chaeck first for an announcement --or check with GM support .

Many people make a living on  line stealing from unsuspecting players.
This is their LIFE --it is what they do .

The best defense is to never give any info --and never log into another website using your GW --or IGG password .
Dont even allow e-mail
Or give yours .
This allows key loggers and spyware --once you allow them .

use your heads and beware .
There are people looking to add you to the list of victims they need to make a living .

Its an ufortunate fact of the internet .
And the best protection is for you to guard your info dearly .
